Why HeArt Class?
Why HeArt Class?
Our live virtual art classes give children the opportunity to explore creativity, build confidence, and discover the joy of self-expression through artist studies, art history, and hands-on projects inspired by some of the world’s well known artists.
Each week, young artists journey through the lives and works of artists such as Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Georgia O’Keeffe, Frida Kahlo, Keith Haring and many more! Our classes are designed to support children’s rapid physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development. Through instructor guided art projects, movement, and conversation, children strengthen coordination, problem-solving, communication, confidence, and creativity—all from the comfort of home.
But HeArt Class is about more than art.
We believe art helps children develop confidence, curiosity, compassion, and community—the four values at the heart of everything we do.
Which class and when?
Tuesdays: Art Foundations
Build creative confidence through fun, hands-on projects that introduce the fundamentals of art! Young artists explore the Elements of Art, color theory, and foundational techniques while developing observation, creativity, and problem-solving skills through interactive virtual instruction.
Wednesdays & Thursdays: Art Enrichment
Perfect for homeschoolers, these classes align with the Ambleside curriculum artist list. Students explore foundational techniques, artist history, and art studies while engaging in hands-on projects inspired by each featured artist and one of the art elements they used.
Saturdays: Modern Artists
Explore modern artists who used creativity to share ideas, celebrate individuality, build community, and inspire positive change. Designed for curious young artists, each class highlights a featured artist while exploring the Elements of Art, creative techniques, and self-expression through an instructor-guided project inspired by their work.
Saturdays: Monthly Craft Party
Glue, paint, color, cut, and craft our way through the year with instructor-led seasonal projects inspired by holidays, nature, and the changing seasons. A playful, hands-on class where creativity takes the lead and every child leaves with a handmade keepsake.
